I know what it's like to smile and say "I'm fine" while carrying a deeper story within.
In 2013, a violent home invasion changed everything. While everyone focused on that one dramatic night, the real story was in the quiet aftermath - in the 2am moments when checking the locks three times still didn't feel like enough, when my body felt like a stranger, and I struggled to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Healing from our past and rediscovering your true self is a process. I learned this firsthand, doing everything I was told to do while feeling completely lost and lonely within. But it was this very disconnect that led me to discover tools that transformed not just my trauma recovery, but my entire approach to living.
Here's what became crystal clear: We all carry experiences that have impacted how we show up in the world. Sometimes they're extreme. More frequently, they're those subtle moments no one else saw. But they all leave their mark.
